    Using most objects in Garinthia is like most Furcadian Dreams. That is that the objects can be used by Ctrl-U or F3. But many objects require a different method and below are examples of the required actions you need to know.

  • SPELLBOOK: You select a spell from the Spellbook by DROPping and GETting the book (Ctrl-G or F2). The spellbook's bookmark changes colors denoting spell. The spell is then cast by USEing the spellbook (Ctrl-U or F3).
  • TALKING: Just bump into a non-player character and if they have anything to say it will be displayed.
  • BARTERING: You need to drop an item like gold or the special object they requested next to them. If they accept it, the new wanted item will appear in it's place.
  • OPENING CHESTS: You first need to drop the item you're currently carrying away from the chest. Then GET (Ctrl-G or F2) on top of the chest. Unless it's a locked chest, it will pop open revealing anything inside. Locked chests require a key to be dropped on top of it.
  • OPENING DOORS: Normal doors open and close by bumping into them. But locked doors require a key to be dropped in front of it or a switch to be thrown somewhere.
