Mage Wars is a magic-user spell casting arena. You can fight against other Mages to see who is the best. All spells are loosely based on Official Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition rules. There are 3 spellbooks located around the plane and have 4 spells in each of them. Near each Spellbook location, unless somebody else dropped it there, is a plaque listing the spells. You select a spell from the Spellbook by DROPping and GETting the book. Each time the Spellbook's bookmark changes colors. The colors associated with the spell are on the plaque as well. This newer version now includes Hit points. Everbody starts with 16 HP and points get deducted if your are hit by a spell. There are shield spells that can stop the damage. You DIE when your HP gets to 0 but death is just a trip to another plane. The Ethereal Plane in the case of this game. There isn't much to see there and simply walking a little will return you to the start of the game. All of the BLACK floor area at the start is a safe area. This is good for recuperating or just learning the spells because the spells do no damage here. The 1st Level Spellbook is also located here. Once you step beyond onto the gray stone floor area you are vulnerable. There will be other magic objects also. The 1st object planned is a potion to return some of your Hit Points. While this game is fully playable it is going to be the core for upcoming dreams or modules. The 1st of which will be Garinthia , a Castle and Dungeon adventure, only done my way.
